this is something that could have been prevented by our government. They could have spent the money to fix that dam. They could have investigated this issue as the national security issue that it is.
REAL patriots stand up for the values of their country. Autocrats and dictators have no values, other than to stay in power by any means, and denigrating the opposition, including prison and executions (with hands off, it wasn’t us, of course!)
