    dsmith, you’re right that pols tend to have big egos. But this is way worse than a big ego. This is a sociopathic condition known as malignant narcissism. Read up on it and assess the behaviors yourself.

    Mike Flynn, Trump’s National Security Advisor, has resigned over revelations that he illegally discussed lifting sanctions with the Russian Ambassador last November. The DoJ informed the White House of the illegal conversations at least a month ago, but Trump & his team continued lying to the public about it as recently as Friday. Why did they stand by a clearly compromised man in a position of high trust? Maybe Trump thought he could force the Intelligence Community to suppress the information about Flynn. Did Trump himself instruct Flynn to have those conversations?

    We may never know, since Jason Chaffetz has lost all interest in any potential compromise of our security.
