He’s inconsistent, from game to game…but ALSO runs out of gas, as well, possibly two different problems.

I used to give a ride to a kid on our team who lived in a run-down neighborhood. HIs apartment building looked pretty shabby. But when you entered the apartment, it was gorgeous. Beautiful floors, nice furniture, immaculate. You never know.

In all reality , B K BROWN is not getting any of this . Meanwhile , Milford freshman pitcher , 6’7" Fernando Fernandez aka Senor Smoke awaits the start of the baseball season and the Milford girls basketball team lead by tiny Ittsie Twill continue their unbeaten season knocking off the Petòne Lady Pipefitters.

BKB might be living in those run-down apartments himself if he drags any of those ants into the cow judge’s house.

Little A Quad in P2, “Oh.”

Gil in P3 “We want you on the court so you’ll start on the bench.”A Quad, " Umm, okay. Makes sense to me. Can I go now? I’ve got a rave to get to."

We want you on the court, but we need to see more consistent effort in the showers. What’s your hurry? Bond with your teammates. That soap on a rope does you no good hanging in your locker.

The plot thins.

New characters in P1 – Pete & Re-peat. This storyline moves slow enough without the repeated panels. What thick book could Gill have on his desk? Not a text book or playbook. State Champ Gil Thorp Scapbook?

I had a watch band like Gil’s back in the 70’s…. bought it at a headshop, fell apart and lost the Omega timepiece in the lake. My parents were not impressed! I wonder if Gil wears his in the shower when he’s “rasslin” with Kaz and the freshmans?

This strip takes took much time to get to the point. Still never found out who was driving the pickup way back during the Boo event.

Is that the royal “We,” Gil? We are most amused.

I think A Quad says it all: “Oh”

Careful what you ask for, Gil. He might just go with consistently being bad. Much like this strip.

Haven’t we read all of this already? R&W must be taking the day (or past few weeks) off. Either that or it’s Flashback Tuesday.

P3 – Oh Gil, when you look deep into my eyes with that soulful look, I can’t stay mad at you. I forgive you for this storyline!

And speaking of forgiving, forgive me for today’s Mopped Up Thorp. Why? I don’t know, I just picked “forgive” as the key word without reason.

It’s all making sense to me now. Each day in the Gil Thorp universe drags on and on and on. It perfectly explains why they’re stuck in 1962. It’s the flip side of a dog year.

If you flip a dog’s year, it’ll want you to scratch it.
