Here’s an analogy that might not be appropriate, either, but I think it’s valid. Trumpism is like an insidious social bacteria that is eating our country’s flesh. Oh, but it’s a lifeform that deserves our respect? Delay diagnosis and treatment, then see what happens. These are one of those times that try men’s souls, those who haven’t already sold them to vanity and greed, to which Trump was a child prodigy and continuing genius. A call to arms was expected in a national emergency, but we need a call to sensibility.

As one person pointed out to me, “these are people who are committed to genocide.” Whether you consider them actual Nazis or not, they are proposing something that fundamentally leads to massive violence.

“President Donald Trump is the first elected president in Gallup’s polling history to receive an initial job approval rating below the majority level,” Gallup reported.“He starts his term in office with 45 percent of Americans approving the way he is handling his new job, 45 percent disapproving, and 10 percent yet to form an opinion.”By contrast, President Obama had a 68 percent approval rating for his first days in office. George W. Bush was at 57 percent and Bill Clinton at 58 percent. But just 25 percent disapproved of Bush’s early performance, and only 20 percent gave Clinton a thumbs down.“Trump now holds the record for the lowest initial job approval rating as well as the highest initial disapproval rating in Gallup surveys dating back to Dwight Eisenhower.”

Good. Keep on hating the nazis. Make them scared. My grandfather fought in WWII and had many a tale to tell. But my most favorite one was of when he and his wingman jumped a pair of Me-262s and got them both. One pilot gave the nazi salute on his way down. Lt. Rosen saluted back after he turned off the gun camera. The only good nazi is a dead nazi.

Nazis were very popular with the rich set in this country before and during the war. They wanted to take over an join the Axis as a senior partner. They failed. However in 1980 they started with releasing the laws blocking them and worked to insinuate themselves into the machinery of govt. to the point that it now cannot operate without them. We ae more of a Plutocracy than a republic now. So they have won already. But there is still more to go till we are just poor, hungry and will work for anyone to live.

I’m happy to say that I discarded that “violence never solved anything” foolishness long ago. It’s refreshing to see that a smattering of regular citizens are waking up to the need to be willing to use the same tactics as the fascists.

For those who don’t know, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby created Captain America. Issue #1, May 1940, shows Cap punching Hitler in the face.

NOTE THE DATE: a year and a half before we entered the war. It wasn’t an accident. Simon and Kirby were both Jewish. They knew what was going on.

(For those who care, the Thing — Ben Grimm — is Jewish, too, and indeed loosely based on the Golem legend. Kirby drew a picture of him once on his Hanukkah card: http://13thdimension.com/13-covers-jack-kirby-the-thing-its-chanukah-time/)

Patriotic protesters against despotic right-wing nationalists. Right-wing protesters hung Obama in effigy and burned him and destroyed property. What were they protesting? His color. Trump protesters march peacefully and seeing some destruction of property, they are all immediately demonized by the right. Why do they protest? They are scared for their lives. Thin skinned conservatives can dish out criticism, but can not take it.
