The only thing I’m not happy about is not seeing the replies unless you click on the reply button under the person.

It took me hours to find a system that works reliably, but I think it’s working now. I have added a feature to my “expand all replies” bookmarklet widget to give the total number of comments, including replies. You’ll find it at  http://worldofdt.info/gchelp.html   with some instructions (instructions still need improvement). If it doesn’t look right, wait a few seconds until all the replies load in and click it again.

Hello, Dry !

I have yet to write the company as I don’t know if I care now that I am no longer a paying customer. I felt like as if me and Whisplicka were lepers, standing at Gocom world headquarters, and not a one of them would come to the door to at least see us up close. It’s a very hands off world there. As much as we like comics and meeting here I hope that we all, as much as possible despite some of us being shut ins due to poor health etc, have a fulfilling life outside this place.

I have a very cold bedroom in my house which does not have furnace ducts going t it (the room was added to the house around 1968 and it would have been a big inconvenience as well as being very costly to put in the ducts because it would have required tearing out the kitchen floor . There is no basement under the kitchen as there is in the rest of the house). The room has 3 exterior walls with no insulation. The carpenter was going to put in insulation, but my misguided dad believed that dead air space is the best insulator. How wrong he was! When outdoor temperatures dip below zero and we have strong winds, I have seen the temperature in that room get down to single digits (luckily, there is no plumbing in that room). Right now, the temperature in there is a somewhat more balmy 20 degrees. The gas wall heater that was installed in that room is broken and I can’t afford to replace it yet. Right now, I’m trying to save enough money just to put some insulation in the walls. Believe me, no matter how much I try to tell myself it isn’t cold in there, it is absolutely FREEZING in there. Mind over matter does not work!

BTW, I sleep in a nice warm bedroom upstairs which is heated by the furnace.

Drat! My luck ran out! It seems like everyone at work has been catching cold and I managed to avoid catching one. Well, now I have a cold – just started today. I happened to have the past 3 days off. since I took some paid personal time. Now I have to go back to work tomorrow and my nose is running, my eyes are watering and I’m sneezing a lot. I would hate to have to call in tomorrow and lose a day’s pay. I hope I’m better by morning. Or early afternoon, since I don’t start work until 2 PM.

Wish you to get better very soon with your cold. Had such a cold three weeks long since Christmas and still have a sore throat every morning after waking up. Get well!

Laughingkitty – try that mind over matter thing. Seems to be working for the Ten Cats.

My phone made a new and strange sound last night. Turns out my autistic nephew in Columbus Ohio had figured out how to make a video call using Facebook messenger on his wifi. My sister came into view wanting to know what he was doing and he said goodbye. I still can’t figure out how he did it. Autism, Go figure.

I placed two videos in my (Bob Wharton) timeline on Facebook and eleven pictures on the Ten Cats Fan Club page on Facebook and on Photobucket.

No activity for LadyCat since 10 days ago, and nothing from JessGoodDoggy for 9. I hope they’re alright. LC was off grid over New Year, Dry.

About a week ago, I read a comment where the poster was frustrated that they are no longer able to right click on a comic and select Save Image As to save a comic to their hard drive. I don’t remember who it was or where I read it. The answer is to add it to your favorites. You can then go into your favorites and save it like you always used to. Feel free to pass this along. Queen (Barbara Dutcher) said she will contact Jess and let me know. BTW she is alive and well, just not inclined to post much, She is NOT happy with the new format.

Love today’s strip….the power of suggestion can work….especially if all TEN CATS contribute. HEY GANG….MAYBE IF ALL OF US PITCH IN, THEN THE POWERS THAT BE WILL ALLOW US TO POST PIX RIGHT HERE ON THIS WEBSITE. I am obviously trying to spread some optimism during these trying times.

I was jessegoodog until go comics changed to my real name. But as I emailed Queen a few moments ago, I am dealing with my boyfriends recently diagnosed lung cancer (non smoking type) and am currently out of town with him at a hospital where they are doing every test possible to see if and where it has spread. I am as sad as I have ever been, he is a treasure I do not want to lose.

I think the cats might need to huddle together like penguins to stay warm.

Gweedo, do you still keep in contact with puppyface (can’t remember the shortcut for her name). Haven’t heard hardly a word from her since she moved to her new place.
