SPACHENLEHRER Just one problem with your analysis of the situation. Bernie would have won. The DNC did everything they could do destroy him, because they wanted Hillary. The public didn’t want any Washington insider, since Washington has done nothing to eliminate economic inequality and the Middle Class wants someone who would blow up the establishment. Bernie said he would do that, Trump said he would do that. And, Trump will do that. I just think the Middle Class would have been a lot happier with the debris that Bernie would have left than that which Trump will leave.

@Dianne LeeWith all due respect, Bernie would never have won. He only won 43% of the Democratic primary vote (http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/was-the-democratic-primary-a-close-call-or-a-landslide/) — and that was among Democrats. He would never have come close to that in a general election — he would have done worse than Hillary because of the “socialist” bug-a-bear. She had at least the potential to win over some moderate Republicans and he never would have been able to do that.
