Or it just gets nastier and nastier as the years pass and more and more resentment builds.And don’t waste your time with reason, that doesn’t work on Moms. Establish boundaries and have consequences for not respecting them.
Looks like both parents are stuck in gender role playing patterns. A man can’t wash dishes or he’s a sissy. A woman can’t do an oil change or she’s trying to be a man. Tell them to keep their sexist statements to themselves.
