Chad (and Carmen) can always add a mail slot in their front door.

This mailman is used to Poncho. However. I notice that the mailbox still looks like a warm oven in panel 4.

A normal dog would just grab the mail and chew it up.

You’re supposed to look through the mail first. Only get rid of the bills and junk mail and keep the rest if there is any.

It’s not MAIL the dogs hate, It’s the MAIL CARRIER! I read a theory that it’s because they come to the house every day but you never let them in!

Well, I’m impressed Poncho was able to create a portal to hell twice. Perhaps he has a employee discount?

My dog Buddy (RIP) would shred the mail that came through the mail slot in the door. He most definitely DIDN’T like the mailman, unless we happened upon him out on a walk. Then he had no problem. I suppose he was just guarding the house and us.

Doesn’t appear to be any “portal-to-hell” gag in the archives, at least in 2006 – judging from what comes up in a search on the “Mailman” tag. (Handy feature, first time I used it!). Closest he came that year was putting a beehive in a street mailbox, but that was only in his imagination: http://www.gocomics.com/poochcafe/2006/12/21
