Did Heart somehow miss the Hunger Games and Divergent movies? Both of those also had female leads. Hunger Games has been out for years.
By the way, I wouldn’t cheer SW for being progressive just yet. Jyn was pretty much the only important female character in the movie who had more than a few scenes. Why weren’t any of the other members of the group female?

Perils of Nyoka with Linda Sterling as the hero…it was a serial in the 30s or 40s (and a damn good one)

I’m amazed that the comments weren’t filled with more chuds complaining with anti-sjw talking points considering how toxic discussions on star wars were/ are. Give it a year though…
