Glenn’s flight was the first manned ride on an Atlas, which was still pretty “iffy” on safety. That’s what the escape tower on the capsule was all about. (If it worked, also “low bidder” which Shepherd first mentioned..)
Are y’all seriously contesting & whingeing about the accuracy of a cartoon depiction of a rocket? I do believe the point passed y’all in both lanes… forest for the trees & all that as it were.
