That’s how art starts!

The irony of this comic strip is that Lizzie was based Lynn Johnston’s daughter, Katie, who ended up graduating from the Emily Carr School of Art with a degree in art specializing in ceramics.

The world needs more art and less coil pots !

What’s a coil pot? Never heard the expression.

@RSHIVE: Coil pots are made by rolling long strips (coils) of clay and then circling each coil around on itself to build up the pot. they were used extensively by potters in many civilizations. You might want to google the term for examples.

@Alondra (from yesterday): That’s funny. My mother-in-law, who divorced my FIL when my husband was 16, told everyone that she gave us 6 months – and that it would be my husband’s fault – and that, when her 2 daughters got married, it would be forever. Both of her darling daughters got divorced, only one of them remarrying. When we renewed our vows for our 25th we sent MIL one of the favors we had made (it was a die cast car with our names & the years painted on the roof), but we resisted the urge to send a note saying “HA HA HA!”

I think that the sooner Elizabeth learns to follow directions from “higher ups”, the better off she will be. Still works that way, you know.
