Once, when I was in high school, I had bought a book through Scholastic. I believe it was “The Elephant Man”. A friend asked to borrow it. Since I couldn’t get to it right away, I said OK. I finally got the book back…with a list of the names of 23 people who borrowed it! Thankfully it came back in good condition.
When I was in kindergarten, one of my classmates wanted to read a picture book that I had brought to school. Unfortunately, it got returned to me with neon pink paint stains! That and another experience are the reasons why I’m now reluctant to have people borrow any of my books.

Today is the 12th and we’ve still got yesterday’s Peanuts. They used to update at 7 AM CET. It’s nearly 12 here. Get with it, “new website!”
