Yeah, that always works. Just like pretending that if you jump off a tall building you won’t really hit the pavement below and die. Right?

What about those 50 tornadoes in November in the deep south.

Perhaps when California gets rid of all the cattle rain will be common and the fires there will all be history.

Now that Trump has been elected, government should be bigger, there are no conflicts of interest, tweets are news, global warming has ended and America is great. The problem with the right-wing governance model is they just proclaim things, but never get around to doing the work. We will give Trump his four years to own everything, lets see if shouting climate change is a hoax makes the planet cool, or if we actually have to do something.

narrow-minded (or just ignorant), even if a human started the fire, it was so big and destructive because of the drought, which was probably influenced by climate change.

We’ve been expecting these east coast, and more west coast, fires for quite some time. Let’s just hope people can stay safe. BTW: in my area, a 10,000 acre fire in the desert isn’t even a big one, in congested areas like the east, or developed areas in the west, like Malibu’s repeated fires, it’s a lot smaller to be a LOT more dangerous and costly.

Frank freak: “natural fire cycles” vary by habitat type, and can vary from every couple years, to every few centuries. “Fuel accumulation” is mostly a myth to allow cutting forests, though it IS real and a part of prescribed fire programs. Now in all habitat types, frequency is increasing, in some cases dramatically, and it CLIMATE CHANGE and humans are the primary cause.
