A beautiful solution to the shortage of waterfront property. Enjoy, Ballard ladies!

It’s especially nice on a hot summer day…..

that cooling breeze from the water….

And on a snowy winter day, when the sky is so blue at Vivian’s…..

you hardly mind the layer of ice forming on your tea,

or trying to eat the tiny cookies with your furry mittens on.

When she suggests we all put on our bathing suits and dangle our feet from the pier, though….

I have to admit to a glance at my weather app…..

Anything below 80° and I “remember” a previous engagement.

White heron…. Oh, I think they’ve been skating on thin ice for a very long time…

Vivian resides in Home Port, Backyard Bay, where the water’s always calm and the sun is always shining.

    .

I, on the other hand, have my galleon The Irish Rover® moored in Smuggler’s Cove, Ballard Bay, where the seas can be rough and the weather as stormy as a U.S. election.

    .

Vivian serves weak tea and cucumber sandwiches to her guests.

    .

I serve Redbreast Irish (12 yr. old cask strength) or St Vincent Distillers Sunset Very Strong Rum along with Tiki Barbequed Yak Ribs© and Snickerdoodles for desert.

    .

Vivian’s tea parties are by invitation only.

    .

With me, if the gangplank is down, yer welcome aboard !

( If it’s not, I’m either at the Tiki or busy doing something you don’t want to know about ).

Although Vivian’s tea party looks mighty inviting, I think I would take a trip up Linguist’s gangplank.

(That’s not a euphemism for anything is it?)
