“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” was on of the phrases drilled into American while other countries were upgrading their processes and efficiencies. Capitilaism thrives on increased profit margins and outsourcing became the easiest way to get that. Keynesian economics and labor unions were replaced with Neo-liberalism and lower wages with both parties embracing the change after the Reagan victory. The promised trickle down and stable economic system crumbled under the Bush recession. The middle class was hit the hardest and the failure of the parties to work together made inequity more severe. I worry that the establishment staff the Trump is assembling will just make things worse and the middle class will suffer more before a new “people’s party” takes the reins and makes the corrections. I do not think the American people will forgive broken promises this time.

That wall’s only going to stay until people realize he’s going to renege on every “promise” he made.

I find it interesting that when you inform supporters that the wall won’t cut down on illegal immigration and why,* they don’t really care and still support it. Willful ignorance at its finest.

    .

Because the majority of illegal immigrants come here legally and then illegally stay when their Green Card expires. Ain’t no wall going to keep out people who come here legally.

The future for the Democratic Party will be found amongst the working people, the vast majority of the people, whatever their background or skin color. Working people are suffering from income inequality, voter suppression, gerrymandering, and the money used by the rich to influence campaigns and have legislation written which favors the rich. The wall depicted will last until the working people realize they have been had.
