Do parents really have trouble explaining multiple Santas to their children, or is it just a joke? Being Jewish, I never had to worry about it. But I would have explained that the other Santas are Santa’s helpers, and that they dress up like him to honor the spirit of giving that he stands for. Problem solved.
We don’t have Santas here but St. Nicholas, which results in the same issue. Little children don’t seem to care. We tell them it’s all the one same St. Nicholas.
