    We were at a county fair once where there was a display of various veterinary instruments. Among them was a speculum for a mare. My SIL & I laughed until we were hysterical, and our husbands just looked at us like we were crazy. All women know what a speculum is for, most men don’t.

    Years back, I had a doctor that was formerly a veterinarian. He used to set his animal instruments on the counters in his office and enjoy the looks on people’s faces when they saw them.
