I suppose we could have a squeaky clean , FBI that every trusted without question, but we’d have to want that enough to elect representatives that wanted the same things we do, instead of folks who are too busy making deals and raising money to fund their next overly expensive reelection campaign.
It’s hard to have nice things when money is equated to speech and politicians want to make sure that they’re heard loud and clear.
