Well, the rest of the family needs to sit, whatever she is up to.

I am troubled by the absence of checks and polka dots in the family wardrobe. Does this signify a withdrawal from the Ballard Street community? Or a loss of joie de vivre?

Yes, and now it’s quite a trend on Ballard Street.

It started for Lilah Kirby when she took Sophie Hopkins course,

    “Halibut dishes and silverware divining”

at the Ballard and Main Street Senior Center and Fish Market.

Edgar was mildly amused, at first.

    The halibut stew was OK….

but he hesitated to tell Lilah he thought the fortune-telling seemed a bit screwy.

It was bearable when she did it at the kitchen table….

but now she’s taken over the couch again,

    just when MacGyver is starting….

and it already ate up their Jeopardy time tonight as well.

Lilah is encouraged by the extent to which she’s developed her personal magnetism….

But Edgar’s not impressed by the pieces clinging to her chest.

I’ll bet it’s significant that all the business ends of the silverware are pointing toward the flame.

Edgar may be a little put out, but it looks like Lilah has really hit upon Roscoe’s pet peeve.

“It all make seance now.” thought Fernando. " I figured she was talking figuretively when she said we have to make sacrifices."

Is she levitating a few up or in the process of dropping them down? The first idea is kind of cool yet spooky.

    That’s just not right.

It should be salad fork, regular fork, butter knife, soup spoon, then teaspoon.

Edgar should be pleased with this. Since she branched out from the halibut stew, Lilah ended up not burning the roast for the first time in their married life.

When it happens again, he’ll begin to understand. Eventually, he might even join in, wearing full regalia.

Roscoe, on the other hand, has already figured this out and knows he won’t be getting as many leftovers anymore.

Can this power be used for sorting silverware after the dishwasher has run? I mean doing this with dirty dishes would be messy.
