Moderately Confused by Jeff Stahler for November 23, 2016

I get up in the morning 10 feet away from potable water. I eat breakfast (I’ve never known hunger except by choice). I go to work (I have employment and can pay the bills to keep a roof over my head and food on the table). I come home from work and my home has not been burned to the ground, my wife has not been raped and killed, my daughter has not been kidnapped and sold into slavery and my son has not been given drugs and an AK-47 and been conscripted into some war lord’s army. I go to a warn bed at night and say my prayers knowing that no one is going to kill me for worshiping God “in the wrong way.”

I’ll take it.

Moderately charitable – a time to invite someone who doesn’t have family.

I’m always happy to be with my family. We all get along. We even root for the same football team.

I love my wife and daughters. My MIL has moved in, but I like her very much, more than I like my wife’s MIL. And we have the cats and dogs. We are having some friends over and it will be a great day of cooking, eating, watching football, etc.

We should all be thankful!!!!!

I am also thankful for everything that was mentioned @dflak – I also have a loving family – not real close, but within an 1 1/2 hr. distance. We get together for every occasion we can. And I am thankful for every one of them!! I am truly blessed.

I don’t do the get together thing anymore. I don’t like football,i don’t like setting around 20 people who talk all at the same time and you can’t hear it all or even get a word in edgewise. We are staying home having T-Bone Steak sweet tatters and mashed taters & gravy and Sweet Potato PIE!! No leftover turkey for a whole week!!

I’m thankful I’m spending the day with my wife’s family instead of mine.

I have over a thousand brothers and sisters mostly military and ex-military … and that’s just counting the brothers and sisters whose names I know. Those whose names I do not know total in the billions.
