I hated phys ed also. I had the football coach – so we played football… day in-day out. A couple of years back, I went to a gym where they had kids (jr hi – maybe hi-school) come in to learn about and use the equipment. I thought that was the most amazing concept. Show kids that physical education is not just about sports – It’s about fitness and health. If we had been able to do something like that when I was a kid, I wouldve been a gym member my entire life.
5th grade I became acquainted occasionally with the Principal’s ping pong paddle. I liked to talk. It was a break from class & burnished the street cred.
