And you don’t suspect why… or whom might be responsible?

Even in the days before the Internet forward, you would read in magazines and newspapers about how post office employees would get a letter to God or to Santa Claus and take it upon themselves to read it and answer the letter. Or letters to Romeo and Juliet or whoever.

I tried writing letters like that, and always got them back machine-stamped. “Unknown at this adress.” “Return to Sender.”

Do they even have a dead-letter office anymore?

If the Peanuts strips were set in modern times, Charlie Brown could just shoot off an email to Santa.

But the email would come back “send failed” or “undelivered”! “Recipient unknown”. “Header contains path of ISP delivery attempt”, etc.

It was Albert Mouse and his friends. They insulted Santa. Now Mr. Trundle will have to build a clock tower.

I figured it out before I was 3. I never believed, but would not ruin it for my brothers. I guess I saw mom put toys in the cart when I was 2. I told mom that Santa did not bring it, that she bought it.Also, I remember wanting a certain item and the rotton kids got one(each) and I did not. Of if they did manage to find it, it was broken.(not like my wife and I, who would camp out for the nephews toys and later for our children and grandchildren. Evidently, that was too much for my parents(they had the money, but were just cheap.
