Also, I’m wondering if the new sender is Matty Squared. We know Bribery’s people did a lot of experiments on Mysta. Did they figure out her “wavelength?”

What if the Moon Governor wanted to adopt Mysta…

Willy007 has a good point and it is a possibility

Our poets seem to be late today.

Mysta now receiving from a source to her unknown

Softly urging a response, won’t yet pick up that phone.

Presently not sending to her dear friend Honeymoon

Diet Smith wishes to help. Mysta hopes such help comes soon.

Changes still transform her both in body and in mind

Dr. Sail did not prevail, placed Mysta in a bind.

Who she was not who she is, both ancient and renewed

Living at Smith Industries with hope and gratitude.

Ability to boil and freeze the liquid in a beaker

Knows all about her origins, yet still remains a seeker.

Of answers to the questions that keep dancing in her mind

Who seeks communication? Be they friendly or unkind?

Is it a Lunarian who comes from faraway?

Curious for answers not forthcoming on this day.

Mysta she’s a-changin’. She of good heart and vast worth

Wary of the sender who cannot be from this earth.

Jeeze, that scientist looks like Captain Marvel’s old enemy, Dr. Sivana, wearing a beard.

I’m surprised that no one yet has asked why Diet Smith has Professor Hugo Strange on his ayroll!

I always enjoy the days when we learn something new about Mysta’s development. 70 below zero before she starts to get uncomfortable? Very cool! haha!

I like the interesting developments in today’s strip. I did catch a minor error I think. Mysta is wearing her gloves, so shouldn’t her hand be purple in the fourth panel?

Remember when Punjab appeared during the Blackhearts firefight? He was able to sense Honeymoon as well. Annie called it a telepathic party line.

Here is a list of Antarctic research bases that Mysta could migrate to :) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Research_stations_in_Antarctica#Research_stations

It could very well be Mr. Bribery sending the messages by means of the Matty Squared program. I hadn’t thought of that, either. He has invested a large sum of money into things Moon-related. Remember the battle suit designed to ward off the Lunarians’ electrical shock attacks?

    (>8-D3={

There are also hints that could indicate Lunarians are behind the messages. We saw a Space Coupe in the July 4th strip four months ago. And the Moon is featured today in the panel following the Crimestoppers Textbook. Something to think about.

Bribery did boast that he would retrieve “his property.” Vile little classic villain that he is, I suspect he will eventually move in that direction. I don’t think this is the time. The Lunarians appeared at Wildwood Cemetery over three years ago, real time. Would Mysta recognize a Squared signal masquerading as telepathy? My guess is yes. Still, much is possible in this excellent strip. I think the July 4th Space Coupe appearance was a teaser for what’s coming.

Mysta’s ability to withstand extreme cold and to heat and freeze liquids has developed since the siege at Ace Tower. Growing quite formidable, is Mysta Chimera. I like the way the arc pivoted from the Other as target of intolerance and bigotry, to Mysta’s ongoing changes, changes courtesy of Mysta Tracy’s DNA. What might the source of the sending know of Lunarian physiology? Of the Chimera’s benefactress?

Thanks to Neil Wick, Gweedo, Night-Gaunt49, Marion, Vista Bill, Ray Toler, ybmps, Chris Sherlock, Jonathan K. and JPuzzleWhiz for the kind words. Very much appreciated!

In the last panel the Doctor says, “There is only one person on Earth who can receive and send to her telepathically.”

That “one person” would be Honeymoon, wouldn’t it? And we know for certain she isn’t the one sending these signals.

That panel with the moon has to be more than just a nod to Mysta’s origins. Maybe a hint of things to come?

I love all the moon stuff. I wish we got more of it, to tell you the truth. Mysta’s personal evolution continues, and now someone new is trying to contact her? Love it! I hope I hope I hope we finally get to meet the Moon Governor and his people.

The Mysta Mythos grows (cold, colder, coldest). Diet is briefed by one of his mad-scientist geniuses. And over puffs of cigar smoke, a hint is lobbed our way.

A remarkably full Sunday for one in which basically nothing happens!
