From yesterday, we have chopped kale in our salad every night. It’s good for you!

Tonight we had chicken Florentine with kale instead of spinach, husband and daughter and SIL didn’t even notice.

The New Yorker had a funny cartoon, a headstone with the inscription: You mean I ate all that kale for nothing?

I see Ollie has been flying between strips again.

@Marge…..see you over on the TC FRIENDS fb site. Wish I spoke German…My mother’s family are of German heritage MANY generations ago. Studied Spanish through high school and 4 years of French in college. I retain LOTS of Spanish. The German language frightens me (LOL).

Update on Toothless Calvin: He’s having a vacation at Deb’s house right now. We thought we would see if he got along with her cats, and if so, he can stay there while we are in Vegas next week. We took him over on Friday. He’s doing great! Deb and Dana lost 3 of their boys this past spring and one of the remaining cats has been in a major funk over losing his BFF. Deb hoped Calvin would bring him out of it. And it’s working! This morning, Ler and Tux were following Calvin around in a line; Deb called it a kitty train. He’s been upstairs several times to hang with Bob Cat, too.

I’m hoping that Calvin ingratiates himself so much and is a real pal to Ler so they keep him. Deb loves him already.

One of my cats (Callie) likes kale and other dark green leafy stuff from the bagged chopped salads. We had a cat years ago that loved eating the darkest green leaves off a head of lettuce. Both are indoor cats so might be something missing in their diet or they just like the taste. I don’t know.
