makes you wonder why Andy even hangs with Chalkie (or Chalkie with Andy)

It was really a high society event for the heavy drinkers and they embarest each other………

They are complementary: for Andy, the important thing is not the taking part, but the winning.

…and so now Chalkie is “takin’ part” in the canal race?

I never see ANDY coming up with any correct answers in those quizzes….

Andy should talk. Does he know a single answer to anything except the names of beer brands?

What else does he have to know? Just askin.

I’m one of the few people who like the “Quiz Nights” in the Andy Capp strips.

But I’m in the majority of those who don’t think much of Guitar Bob! But the real question is: Would Reg Smythe have approved of Guitar Bob? After all he liked the idea of Andy having a son.
