Emails dated 2011, via Wikileaks, between Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieriri and John Halpin, both Catholics.
[Halpin]
.
“Friggin’ Murdoch baptized his kids in Jordan where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic (many converts) from the [Supreme Court] and think tanks to the media and social groups. It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.”
.
Palmieri responds:
.
“I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became evangelicals.”
.
Halpin replies:
.
"Excellent point. They can throw around “Thomistic” thought and “subsidiarity” and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they’re talking about."
.
That’s the extent of the “damaging Anti-Catholic” emails between Palmiere & Halpin. Liberal Catholics knocking Conservative Catholics. @@
Isn’t Tim Kaine, Clinton’s running mate, a Catholic as well? Trump’s 2nd mate was raised Catholic and converted to the evangelical church, which I think is more conservative…?
Anyhow, I don’t see how this indicates an anti-Catholic bias. Especially with a running mate who is Catholic.
Okay, Henry: What did Hillary say about Catholics that was so horrible? Or was it that one of her campaign workers (a Catholic) said that middle-class Catholics rarely consider themselves Evangelicals. Is that REALLY the same as what Trump said about Mexicans? Really? How on earth do you remember which end of the pen makes the marks on the paper?
I think it’s funny that Republicans can’t use the real substance against Hillary because it shows that she’s too much like them. They instead have to make stuff up against her.
This is why I hate negative campaigning. These scum who spin stuff like this Catholic issue could probably spin things in such a way that Jesus Christ would look like a mass murderer.
