Who are the first two supposed to be? Three, if the third isn´t Clint Eastwood. Though I guess the second might be someone from Orange is the new black.
The second is Suzanne from OitNB, yes. The third is indeed Eastwood, from Escape From Alcatraz. Pretty sure the first one is from Cool Hand Luke. (To round it out – Escape from New York, Stir Crazy, and The Shawshank Redemption.) (Identifying the references aside, the point of the cartoon is one I agree with.)
We treat prisoners worse and worse now that prisons are for-profit business. We have to make enough convicts to fill those super-jails and why have all that free labor sitting around? All this in a country where being poor is the best way to find yourself behind bars. The little guy getting screwed again, and a bonus – if its a felony, they can’t even vote (or have representation for their taxes)
There is a link going on Facebook comparing Americas prison system to Norway. Norwegians realize the prisoners are one day going to rejoin society, society in America is driven by revenge.
We can execute them. If not, then we have to feed and house them. So they should just sit and watch TV all day until their sentence is up? I think working for room and board is justified.

As an excon I say exploit the convicts. Prison is supposed to be bad for you!

Time to take the profits — and many of the inmates — out of prisons.

Night-Gaunt49 This Christian doesn’t, and except for the eye for an eye questionable types, not many other Christians do either.

All true- but they get willing participants in the rodeo, at least, because prisoners are bored and want something to do.
