Does ANYONE realize that rifling through someone else’s recycle bin is theft? The disposal companies get money for recycled material just as we individuals do. They rely on that money for part of their operating cost. Those selfish dorks who go through the neighborhood recycle bins and take the “good” stuff are no better than a shoplifter or a burglar. (Of course this does not apply to regular trash cans, just the recycle bins.)
@JanCinLV Going through garbage is not theft. It’s been established more than once in our court systems that once garbage is placed on the curb, it’s in a public place and therefore not protected property. No distinction has been made, so far as I can find, to cover recycling bins.
