Car salesmen are worse than politicians…

This is how they make their money, you would do it too.

Yeah,if I just got out of jail and I couldn’t get an honest,decent paying job elsewhere,I might resort to being a sleezey,used car salesman I suppose?

That,or run for president!

LOL! Sadly, when we moved to a new town our apartment had limited parking so we made the joint decision to sell her. That was over 20 years ago and we still regret that decision. (For the record, we named her Duffy.)

Usually, when I’ve bought a car or truck, I have researched and done my due diligence prior to walking into a dealership. I know what I want and what I’m willing to pay and Never finance through the dealers.

I avoid salesmen until I’ve made my selection and am ready to negotiate. I also have no qualms about walking away from the " car of my dreams " if they won’t meet the price I feel is fair.

If you do the research first and avoid impulse buying, you are miles ahead in the car purchase race.

When buying used cars, particularly sports cars, I always brought along a buddy, who was a mechanic, to check the car out. This did not please some used car salesmen but I never bought a lemon.

But I seem to recall that he bought a RED sports car… guess the colorist didn’t get the memo.

I always take my “Car MD” onboard computer reader when I go used car shopping. Plug it into the OBD port and if the light isn’t green, move on immediately.

Ok my new word for the week. “Flammbutz” LOL

A good salesman that is willing to put in the extra effort can easily pull in six-figures a year.

If he wants to hear NO NO just wait til he gets it home!

I believe that was done again where Michael tried the same thing as an adult, however he did not do it. His wife was proud that he did not make an impulse buying of a sports car, but what he did not say was that the reason he did not do so was that Michael’s credit score was stinky! :P

It’s still your choice when involved with a Car salesman, not so much with the Politicians!

My sil’s parents took him down to buy a used truck on a lot. He was paying for it, but they picked it out. When his intended found out how much he was paying in interest(making the truck cost more than a new truck) his parents said, the truck was a better deal than new, that you always lose money on new vehicles, blah, blah. It took them 4 years to admit she was right.
