Seriously… we get inundated with politics EVERYWHERE else. We really don’t need any of it in the comics. The funny papers are supposed to be an escape.

Please leave politics out. We are so inundated right now, that we need a bit of a break. Subtle maybe, but a sledge hammer.

So its a bit political! To us non-colonials its still funny but for true humour we have to wait until Nov 8/9.

Question is however who the insane and paranoid is when you are so certain it will happen before he is elected. Remember fx that Hillary stated she wanted war with Russia, also with all the surveillance and such in the US made after September 11th, isn´t it pretty much like that allready?

Some comics are always (or at least often) political; this one usually isn’t. I’d prefer if non-political things stayed non-political. You’re not turning into Doonesbury or Bloom County.

To those who are whining about not getting a break from politics even when you’re reading the funnies, I have to ask? You want a break? Don’t any of you have a backyard, or live near a park? Those are proven places where one can get a break.

Good grief, not this comic too?

Hillary hasn’t found a military intervention to oppose since Vietnam, so she’s certainly not for peace.

And btw…for those of you too obtuse to get it, while OTH is very funny, it’s funny at our expense. It pokes fun at the way we live (legitimately), the way we think. RJ is the thoughtless, hedonist Eloi we are largely becoming. Verne is the very small voice of knowledge and sanity which generally loses out to the hedonist. Hammy is what happens in reaction to the madness; also comic relief. This political mess going on right now is part of the way we live, so it’s legitimate grist for their mill. While I agree that you need to laugh or go crazy, this grossness is really no laughing matter. If politics hadn’t had people swallowing the most vile swill for years it would be easier to see what’s going on here.

I am voting for Evan McMullin, so I don’t really have a dog in this fight. If I read the comic correctly, it is a critique of the Hillary supporters – read the final panel closely. I had to read the comments to determine who took most offense, and it seems the Trumpers were most likely to misread.

This is a comic strip. You know a cartoon. This is NOT the place to show your support for killery. If you want to support her I suggest you join her camp and start riots of something.

all of this, the last 8 comments while I went to store if the countries Trump is going to 86 get any more in number, it won’t be safe for us in any place; already waiting for the responses to get more overt (a la Trump style) here in Mexico; oh, yeh, my husband (from here) helped me get thru the years with a severely disabled parent — I owe him but I also want to survive and soon the locals will be wondering aloud why we don’t all just go back across the border. BTW, see the movie Bridge of Spies if you want to see a divided country … watch the wall go up; thanks SS for attempting historical accuracy and reminders of the past parts we don’t want to relive, on the grand scale

i hadn’t read this strip in a while – now i remember why – i use to really like this strip but the political CRAP has done nothing but make me sad so guess i won’t be back. the authors have the right to commit their own downfall with their own personal political beliefs, but it sure is sad that they are willing to do away with entertainment that all enjoy for a few ridiculous slams thinking they will change somebodies political stance or vote – come on – it’s a turtle squirrel and a racoon in an unreal world saying unreal things about an unreal view – not funny – not cute – definitely not entertaining but i guess there are always those who think mockery and over exaggeration have some humor to them :(

Either there are way more people reading comics, and particularly this comic, who are right wing Trumpers, than sane rational people, or the sane rational people (who are progressive and voting for Secretary Clinton) just aren’t bothering to respond. If you are just now noticing that this comic has a political perspective, you have not been paying attention. Perhaps it’s because today’s strip is so realistic.

Only after the DNC slanted their worse fear against Sanders and Trump continued to reveal what a slime ball he is, did the corporate media give any coverage to Clinton, and it is still far less than the support they give to Trump’s every shocking revelation. And I don’t even support her, but she is in the margin of error in Texas and that is our only chance against the massively corrupt state government administration in two more years.

If anyone with a brain were to analyze the faults on both sides of the ticket, one would quickly realize that Killary Hillary Hellary is nothing short of The Great Whore of Babylon. She has prostituted the nation to the very people who funded the 9/11 attacks, and her #1 adviser, Huma, is the daughter of one of them. Every Muslim who pays their equivalent of a tithe funds the shahada, the Islamic genocidal pillar of Islam that calls for this so-called religion of submission to succeed in world domination by bringing about the conversion, death, enslavement, or subjugation of all non-Muslims. A vote for Hillary is a vote for death. A vote for Trump is a vote for Freedom and Life.
