honestly, if you make a nice strong password in the first place, you don’t really need to change it.all those security morons are accomplishing is making people “change” their password by adding a “1” to the end. Then a “2” the next time.and guess what? if the hackers ever do crack in and figure out what your password was before you changed it, it’s now terribly easy to figure out that now it’s a “3” instead of a “2”. then boom, they’re in.

The electric company wants an extremely complicated password so I can pay my bill. If someone else hacks in and wants to pay my bill, LET THEM!

Right on, I keep imaging myself in an old folks home, senile, spewing passwords and log-in codes.

The only one I have problems with is the Post Office. They ask way too many questions, some of which require serious research and getting current credit reports first. I gave up, and don’t have an account with them.

I came up with a password that most people would never associate with me. The first phone # my family had when I was a kid, back when your parents made you memorize your home phone # in case you ever got lost and needed the police or someone to identify you. In my case the # hasn’t been associated with my family in over 40 years, but I still remember it, I add a quick word of phrase to go along with the # and I have a password I’ll remember, but no one else associates it with me.

Yeah, and there are different rules at different sites. Some sites let you use certain characters, others sites don’t. How about fingerprints? Voice analysis? Retinal scan?
