Or that there are alternatives to EpiPens but it is the most heavily advertised and thus I must have it.

Unfortunately, somebody in the chummy CEO culture has clued the other CEOs into the example of Milo Minderbinder in CATCH-22.

The reality here that Jen has eloquently identified using the epi-pen issue is the following:Health care in the U.S. is one of the most horrific and corrupt systems of any developed nation. “Obama-care” as it is called really is not a helluva lot better than what we had before. What we really need is:Universal and equal health care for all in the U.S. We do not need all the nonsense insurance agencies taking their cuts, nor all the manpower for billing services to 100 different insurance agencies with all their own rules. It is a travesty that the U.S. health care system is, as it is. Obama-care is just a “pretty” bandaid over a gaping, infected, open wound and I am hoping (though I doubt she will do anything either) Hillary Clinton will change the system to give us universal and equal health care for all in the U.S.

Mylan CEO has stated “No one’s more frustrated than me” about the EpiPen price furor. She was hoping that the price could be quadrupled with no consequences, what ever happened to the free market? They raised the price by 400% then made sure to double its assistance program (raise the price then give patients “assistance” when they should be pulling themselves up)The EpiPen4School program will continue to supply the drug to schoolsThey will open a pathway to order the EpiPen from the company to reduce cost (because it costs more to get Coke from the store than the factory)Drug manufacturers defend rising prices, citing the high cost of years of research and development that goes into making blockbuster drugs. Which is the reason why a drug which hasn’t changed for 10 years has seen it’s price skyrocket. It probably doesn’t have much to do with the CEO making more money, it is probably a misunderstanding by the poor plebs who don’t understand the high stakes games of the market. Maybe there will be a big rebate! That will be exciting!

Recently I’ve been hearing a lot of advertisements on TV for the ST Jude Research Hospital. In the ad they claim they never bill the parents because the only thing parents should worry about is getting their children healthy. Now the very first thought to enter my head was, that obviously, this Hospital is NOT being run by Rethuglicans.

Once a substitute is approved (and this should be on a fast track), School Access to Emergency Epinephrine Act needs to be revised to exclude any company that charges more than a reasonable amount.

The schools that teach our children and hold our future asked for a tax hike of 12%. Half of the elected representatives kept America safe from educating our children. That is how we allow the rich to continue this robbing of the poor, keep them low educated voting Trump, they’ll see more of this!

Panel 4 hits it smack dab at the true core of the situation.our culture where the wants of the very few take precedence over the needs of the many. But it is that way all over. Most countries have a few very rich who not only don’t care about “the people”, but are actually trying to get rid of a lot of us.It’s not even ironic that this was supposed to be said by a Pakistani, it is the world’s top 500 or so men against “the rest of us”.

It would be impossible to provide enough people to provide it to all people.-So we can’t employ more people?-There is health care which could keep a person’s body alive for decades but which would require dozens of doctors, nurses, technicians, janitors and millions of dollars worth of equipment.-We have that already. People do end it, others do not, but the hospital can tell them to leave, which they do.-Even if you rewrote the laws, equality under those conditions would be unfair since it would involve withholding care for some because you physically could not provide it to all..-Sure we can if we can do that for every soldier, we can do it for every patient. Less billion dollar war weapons, more medical.-But hey, you are against it so nothing can be done.

sueamarlucanReminds me of a dog chasing a train. Can’t catch it, wouldn’t know what to do with it if it did, but feels very smug that it wouldn’t leave the track to do personal combat with it. I wonder how loaded the questions were.

Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered. I’m in the mood for bacon- and I’m a conservative. I don’t think the radicals on either side should be allowed to ruin the country. Yes, that includes the inflation caused by the ‘jobs bill’.

If I had a nickle every time a Republican called a business practice “Unacceptable” but allows them to continue through laws and who they elect, I could buy a medical company and jack the prices up 500%
