Kids can be cruel when poking fun of other kids’ embarrassment.

Why would the other kids even know about Mike’s pink underwear?

Either go with it and make it cool or use women’s make up to hide it. Either way you must not give in to their interpretation of your problem.

I’m with Argythree on this one. Locker rooms were not normally something a 3rd or 4th grader ever needed to be concerned about, least not here in the US. Not way back in the stone age when I was in those grades nor at the time this was drawn.

My mother washed all the men’s underwear with the fiberglass curtains, but nobody called me ‘itchy’.

I’m grateful everyday I don’t have to work at the Middle School, they are a bunch of little animals. High School kids are not as noisy as that rabble!

Where was the story arc where Elly washed the laundry with the drapes? I cannot find it; nor can I find any strips in the past two years where Michael was nicknamed “Pinky”.

Little snot deserves it. He has been a jerk morphing into a teenager. That is a nasty age! Consequences, Michael!

I had buck teeth in grade school. I was still “mole man” at my 40th HS reunion.

Just tell everyone you feel like you’re gonna throw up but you can’t seem to get it out. But they should stand back because you could let loose at any given second!

Oh, well. You did it to yourself, kid. And, you did it in the face of advice to the contrary, as well.

Wow!,I can’t believe how mean some of your teachers are in the U.S. Teachers would never get away with harassing their students like that in Canada nowadays.Back in the 60’s when I was in grades 4-6 we had a gym / math teacher who was downright sadistic though.he would throw stuff at you if he thought you weren’t paying attention, and even slammed a little kid against the wall for drinking at the water fountain without permission. But getting back to the comic,Michael said it was 2 years ago when the kids called him pinky,so that makes him 9 years old,and in grade 4 by my reckoning.Locker rooms and showers don’t start until at least grade 7 so maybe Mike was wearing boxer shorts that tend to ride high.In any event I would let him stay home a day or 2 to see if the colouring would wear off,but most parents would have to take time off work so that might not be feasible. His best bet would be to dye his hair matching green, and be a trend setter.

Maybe there is someone who can help. Of course, he would need to say something along the lines of “Almighty God, I am sorry for copping an attitude with my parents. Please forgive me for being fresh with my mother when she was trying to teach me how to cook macaroni & cheese. I also beg your forgiveness for violating the privacy of my neighbors when I was a Peeping Tom in that girl’s bedroom”

Of course Michael could always ask the “Great Gazoo” to snap his Finger and turn all his classmates faces green to match his.
