Well, I guess we figured out what Puddles is… A lap dog…

You know what your first mistake was, Frank?

You should have just went for the Flame Thrower. You could have effectively obliterated that stain so fast…and the look on Nancy’s face would have confirmed that you not only did it fast… but that you thoroughly got rid of that blemish. And the bonus….a few other things will get cleaned, that she didn’t even have to ask for. She’ll really take notice of that !!!

Yeah….let’s see Puddles do that !!!…

My, My, My, How “Times” have changed. 50 years ago, a cartoon dad would have been depicted slipping on said goop, spinning head over heels in midair, and landing face first on the floor, with the cartoon mom saying something “Clever” like: “Honey, would you take out the garbage and clean up THAT Mess on the floor when you get back?”

Well at least Nany-bot didn’t spill the COFFEE…..,

Cleaning tools stay neat when you have a dog.

We call our dog “Roomba.” I have a jar of small treats beside my chair, and every time he brings me something he has picked up off the floor, I “redeem” it with a little treat. Now he scours the floor for any little piece of paper, twig, leaf, etc, and brings it to me. Anything that gets tracked in or dropped on the floor gets turned in for a treat.

No need to cry over spilled…whatever.

That’s how it works in my house, the dog cleaning up, not the husband helping. Mine wouldn’t even know where the cleaning supplies are, much less have any idea how to actually clean up a mess.

The broom, the mop, the licker …

After every party at my house I never had to vacuum. I had two labs that would make sure no crumbs or spills were left. And they did a better job than myself with a vacuum.

I can’t believe I’ve been reading this comic for at least eight years.Now I feel old.

Puddles is what…..12? I predict a very sad thread in the near future.

Puzzle Whiz wondered where JayBluE was for a week. Whiz, I’ve read your posts on at least one other strip. Do you find the bouncing bird avatar as irritating as I do?

I don’t usually critique other people’s avatars (I don’t feel it’s my place to do so), but, no I don’t think it’s creepy at all.

I will also take a hike, disappear and leave this to those who enjoy overthinking this stuff. Maybe Earth Native will come back and take up the slack. Bye.

Puddles is far and away the most likable character in the strip, he must never grow old or sick, because he’s on my “A” Team. I never grow tired of defending the lonely Tiffany, enjoying the loving bond between Nancy and Frank. smiling at the carefree humor of Knute and Crystal, and missing the beautiful and idealistic Rosa. The rest all belong in therapy.

I admit no one makes me read any or all comments. Yet so often I read of others who act like they must do it!? Then they make a big deal of pulling out just so we notice them. The wedding story is fine, not a big wedding fan. But that is what it takes to stick with a comic strip. And this is one I have liked since I started reading it in the 1990’s. Now I am, thanks to Gocomics,getting to read all those “Luann” comics that weren’t in most news papers.
