Oh, Congress moved to solve that problem, leftwingpatriot! They passed a law that does not allow people to include medical debts in bankruptcy. Who says they don’t act on these issues?
@tomPerhaps the single most stupid comment I’ve heard from you. “Without a single Republican vote in either House”??
Why not complain about the Republican’s wasting 99% of their time attempting to repeal something they don’t actually want repealed? If the repeal succeeded, at least 20 Republicans would lose their seats at the next election.
Just like Trump, Payne get’s off on the idea of people suffering (so long as it isn’t him or his family). The Tea/Republican Party has sought to undermine American Healthcare for decades. And they are still seeking to repeal/defund/destroy the ACA. Nothing to replace it with (even though that is part of the rhetoric). Just hoping to leave 10’s of millions of American without health care (Mitt, of course has volunteered to drive the ambulance or hearse for those in dire need).
‘Replace Obamacare with what? Please specify which one of the Republican proposals is best.’
Tom can easily make his choice between the two Republican proposals. They have both been described by Trump.
The first proposal is Something Better.
The second is Something Terrific.===Yeah, that’s a difficult choice for sure, but with Tom’s demonstrated analytic skills, I’m confident he and the Republicans will make the right selection.
tom: they’ve never voted to repeal it, they’ve voted to TRY to repeal it, but that nasty thing called “the majority”, said no.
Thanks to Reublican insurtions in the bill, it certainly isn’t perfect, like the GOP handout to the insurance companies (that they STILL whine about because their PROFITS might be reduced but they are NOT “losing” real money.).
“Lower income people includes the middle class after 35 years of Reaganomics.”After 8 years of Obamanomincs, he’s done so well. Debt doubled all by himself. More people on food stamps. Black poverty rate higher. More people not even trying to find work. Slowest recovery since WWII. Insurance premiums, co-pays, and deductibles much higher. Fewer options for insurance, as companies find out they’re losing money. If his goal is to get more people dependent on the government, he’s done very well. Other than that, not so much.

Why do Republicans hate the idea of lower income people getting health care?

Hard to tell JDave48. Obama and Harry Reed spent years blocking GOP alternatives. Obama still is.

Henry, when you’re out of ideas you should just stop. And if you are not currently doing well economically you might want to change your advisers.
