Draw back of a spell. Rather mechanical.

I would’ve liked to see the spell being casted.

Oh, so those are the risks. Better to stick to distractions then. It gives variety.

I’d said this wasn’t going to end well.

Some Siamese cats must have that spell, as one whom I knew (a friend’s cat) would sit or lie down while staring fixedly and without blinking at one spot on a wall or a blanket, for hours at a time. Also:

It could have been worse—the spell could have contained a “sub-routine” that would cause Phoebe to summon her inner unicorn, in which case Phoebe might have been obsessed with her reflection, whether in a shiny floor tile or in the girls’ bathroom mirror.
