The continuity of identity with their wonderful pre-newsprint selves is intact. Our old friends are still here, new adventures, laughs, and lumps-in-throats loom ahead. I’m happily on board for the duration.

Still the boys we love. The line is a bit harder, and the colours less subtle, but that is what is needed for newspaper reproduction. I’m going to miss the complex backgrounds, though.

Indiana Lupin—cat of adventure! :D It took awhile before we discovered that Lupin was deaf, I remember—the strip about the grasshopper chirping, I think, and it showed the teleprompter for Lupin who needed it because of being deaf . . . I think that’s the first instance, not exactly sure. Then, there was Puck transcribing flashcards for Lupin. Anyway, I love how the introductions are going—taking time for each cat’s unique personality.

Going to miss the larger prints, instead of just four frames now.

Although I’ve been following BCN for a while now, I’m enjoying reading the intros of the boys! I’m sure I’ll discover a few details that I didn’t previously know about them!

Hmm, yes, I miss the more subtle backgrounds/colors and the larger prints too – But we get it every day! And Georgia gets paid to do this! And, therefore, we get to keep reading it! And Georgia gets paid! And we get to keep reading it! Every day! (With large strips promised on Sundays)! And I’m running out of exclamation points! — OK, without exclamation points now, I think overall we will be getting about the same amount of content, just spread throughout the week. Not like during the Christmas or Halloween specials (not sure how Georgia wrote, drew and painted 2-3 of those massive strips per week), but overall I think we will not be disappointed. I think the walls in the big pink house are mostly white anyway. There’s some nice yellow shading/gradation on the wall in the last panel, not quite the same, but it’s there. Let’s see how it goes. I think we will be happy with the new format. The most important part (IMHO) is the characters, and they are all still with us.

It Came From the Laundry! I still love that. Does Lupin get to ride in the laundry basket in real life?

It was the watercolor technique, the unique layout, plus the story-line that first attracted me to BCN. I miss that but will not leave. Love the boys too much to leave.

You got in the papers. E-mails were also sent to the cartoonists at Sherpa. Maybe they will now get to the main page. And then, maybe some of them will get to the newspapers themselves.

Given what Georgia wrote in her blog about how adding Tommy really brought life to the station, I’m really looking forward to how he’s brought into this incarnation.

After months of waiting for yesterday, I actually forgot! But, no worries…I got two strips today. I love this style of strip so clean and bright! And who wouldn’t love natty little Lupin in his perfect business hat:) And this of course suggests each kitty will have his own introduction and we will get to know each character better. Smart move! My mornings have suddenly become brighter! Congratulations Georgia; it’s been a long haul but worth it! Is the Toddler reading the strips yet? – my name changed for some reason, but I’m stillAuntie Erin!

I love how you get a sense of how Lupin is a Cat of Adventure with the laundry room remark! Gorgeous colours, too!

Georgia, hope you can get BCN in the Omaha World Herald, every subscriber gets a morning paper. It would be great if they could start at the beginning.

I like how Georgia has been weaving together refurbished older panels with new ones to build comprehensive strips to meet the newspaper format. Looking forward to what’s next!

Aside from being the anchor-cat, and The Cat of Adventure, Lupin spreads himself around such that “owning Lupin is like owning 5 cats”—the Woman. And the Man has wondered if Lupin is actually a small horse…

I am so excited for you Georgia. I hope you plan to use the story lines from your previously posted strips in the paper. They are so clever and well written. It would be a shame if your real-time readers didn’t get a chance to read them.

So happy for you and wish you so much success! BCN has helped me keep my sanity by making me smile every morning. I had no idea Lupin was deaf. I thought that was a trait that went with different colored eyes. The only deaf cat I’ve known (Louie) was white, deaf and his eye colors didn’t match. Any how, looking forward to many new adventures with BCN!!
