LOL! I remember when my parents went out to dinner for one of their anniversaries, and my sister and brother-in-law stayed to babysit/cat-sit. I forget how, but my sister and her hubby wound up angering the cats in some way or another so that they threw up in their shoes and went to the potty on their bed. It was the most hilarious thing! (well probably not to them) ;p
I love Pucky’s “swipe swipe”! Definitely brings back memories of my sweet kitty Whiskers doing the same thing whenever he did not feel like eating his food!
A sudden change in diet triggers tummy upsets in teh kitties. This why it’s recommended that you blend the new and old until you’ve transitioned completely to the new.
Cats everywhere. Tastes like betrayal. Rich undertones of disapproval. “Someone” indeed. And that glass of water is the subtlest touch, the icing on this fine confection.
So far, a good job of breaking up the original comics into bite-sized portions (no pun intended) for the newspaper crowd. I still prefer the original comics, with their more subtle lines, detailed backgrounds, and less claustrophobic presentation. But if I didn’t know about all of that beforehand and had just discovered this strip in its new format, it would still be one of my favorite strips.

Got to the end of the original quicker than I’d imagined.

I suspect that ‘someone’ is Lupin himself.

I am fortunate that my two ‘bosses’ will eat anything, love workmen;s boots, to paraphrase the old For Sale ad.

Best of the newspaper series so far. Three jokes and two visual gags.
