I’ve never heard profanity referred to as “helpful encouragement” before.

‘Helpful encouragement’! Funny!

I encourage people to use their directional signals on a daily basis.

I like Beni’s “helpful encouragement” euphemism. I think the first time my parents ever heard me use helpful encouragement was when I was driving/sliding them down a very slippery winter hill in Cincinnati (where I was then in grad school) and somebody ahead almost wouldn’t move al all….

Yes I catch myself offering helpful encouragement while driving. Sometimes I check in and hear myself, laugh and ask myself aloud “Where is the love?” Changes the whole day.
