I was on the math team in high school. We had the cheerleaders show up for the league championships (we were hosting). It was actually kind of fun!

What person on the Chess team would be upset that there was a girl cheering him on? I lettered in Chess, all 4 years of high school, we would have been very appreciative.
I once watched a chess match on TV. I fell asleep during the instant replay.
If they have a third-class cheerleading squad, wouldn’t they have a third-class football team? We certainly did.
In my high school, the JVV would be the pep squad.
