Let sleeping Republicans lie. Yes, they can do it in their sleep. Did anybody see where McConnell tried to reroute Obamacare funds to Zika? Sort of skeevy, but that’s how a crook shows he cares.

Pretty much what they do in the time of crisis. Any actions on gun violence? How about jobs? Any word on equality or education? How about water and pollution? Sleeping through climate change as well. Maybe we’ll wake up and do something about it when it affects rich white men.

The Republican answer to any of our nation’s issues. It is your own fault for working 60 hour weeks and not making any money, go figure it out. Thanks for the standard right-wing “compassionate” answer.

In about 3,000 years, if I work hard and save everything, I should be almost equal to the 1 per cent. Thanks Trickle Down!

Trump is right, the game is rigged, its rigged by and for the selfish rich.

People on welfare buying things is not trickle down. Trickle down was proposed as an alternative to welfare, but nothing trickles down. When the rich man’s goblet is full, he gets a bigger goblet. If non-rich folks get some money, they spend it on things, and that helps the economy. When rich people get money, they offshore everything but what they tip the hired politicians with.

The smartest thing Poppy Bush ever said was to characterize Mr. Reagan’s idea of “trickle-down economics” as “voodoo economics”. The idea that rich people will create jobs because they get more money is indefensible. No one, regardless of how wealthy they are, creates jobs unless he/she thinks those jobs will profit them, and I see nothing wrong with that. But if the “little people” have no money to purchase goods and services, there will be no demand for more goods and services, and the wealthy will not create jobs. Simple economics. This is not to say that I am for giving away “free stuff”, which is a typical knee-jerk response. Also, let’s keep things in perspective: we are building tanks that we will never ever use, because the plant is in Ohio, and we know how important Ohio is in presidential elections. We pay millions for food stamps for people who work full-time at McDonald’s, and at Wal-Mart because their wages are not sufficient to keep the bill collectors at bay. This and many many other examples of corporate welfare cost the US taxpayer far more than all the welfare cheats that you can muster.“Job-killing regulations”? We deregulated the trucking industry: no more owner-operators….only a few large firms to work for. We deregulated the airlines: remember Braniff? Eastern? National? Pan-Am? TWA? All gone, and the ones who survive are in and out of bankruptcy. We deregulated the banks…..remember 2008? So, the right answer is to increase spending while cutting taxes and getting rid of regulation…..stupid is as stupid does.
