I assume that’s True addressing the crowd. Between that depiction and yesterday’s p1, he won’t last a week in college football. He’s wasting away to anorexic proportions.

Barry takes refuge in the bathroom once again.

If that crummy cabinet-on-a-stick is the best memorial they can come up with, I suspect Boo had rather be remembered with a magic peacock.

AWESOME. We have some of those in my own town. One’s just around the end of the block.

Nice to see Barry paying tribute to Boo in his own way – alone, in the locker room, probably while wearing no pants.

Ah, yes. Boo’s fondness for reading was referenced many times earlier in the strip, along with her collection of antique pistols, her three Russian Blue cats, her fondness for old MGM musicals and her lactose intolerance.

P1, Why so glum Barry. Pull my finger. C’mon, that always cheers up my kids. Oh wait.

P2, Yep, Boo loved to read. If she wasn’t reading a text from you, she might have seen Grand Master Bader coming.

P3, Young Master Bader has been practicing his hobby so much that he’s sheared off the little finger on his right hand.

Sign Man would never put out the kind of shoddy work seen in P1 and P3.

P1- Why is GilPa wearing Kaz’s wristwatch? It must be broken since time stands still in Milford.

It looks pretty empty to me. Who opens a library without any books? Well, until now that is.

Boo used to say, “Reading is FUNdamental” to me all the time.

My guess is that Barry will buy 10 copies of “To Kill a Mockingbird” for the little libraries.

This is getting ridiculous — it’s almost September and baseball isn’t over yet? When does Gil get to sit around and drink lemonade?

So Boo “loved to read.” Who knew? Does anyone recall her reading anything other than a text message?

Even though Boo is dead, she won’t go away, just like this story….

Within a week it will be full of “bootleg” VHS tapes of Titanic (except that they were actually legal)

It will turn out that Barry loves to read, too, and he will finally connect with his teammates.

I know it’s not much, but here’s the only evidence I can find to support Boo’s bibliophilia. And True was working on an A.P. English project instead of celebrating her no-hitter at the Bucket, so he’s all literaryish too.
