Now I guess tomorrow, Young Master Bader will unhand himself long enough to come out of hiding, take the mic, and apologize for his drunken dad. One small step towards the end of this story.

Of course, the real tragedy in all of this is that Art bought season tickets to see Wake Forest play and his son can’t escape Gil’s clutches.

The folks at Wake Forest don’t realize this yet, but when Tru(e) finally shows up on campus, they will also be visited by a strange peacock that will react affectionately when the Demon Deacon faithful shout out “Boo” while trying to scare it away.

It doesn’t look like we’re going to wrap the story line up this week either…

We have one of those libraries in our neighborhood. It was started by a young boy as a cub scout project. Also there was a story in the news where a girls organization was making 12 of them and they were learning carpentry skills and building them themselves.

I don’t care what anybody says, I feel bad for Barry. He might be an ass but having a parent go to prison is a bad feeling. And I still say the dang pickup driver needs to be convicted too. Maybe he didn’t see Boo and the “last clear chance” law comes into effect, but they are just letting him/her slide away.

Boo’s favorite book was “To Kill a Mockingbird”? Aside from the name thing, her selfish, nasty, mean-spirited behavior didn’t exactly comport with what I took to be the message of the novel.

P2 just shows how out-of-touch Gil is anymore. The other day he tries to spare BBader by telling him he doesn’t need to show for the dedication of the memorial; today the kids draw the wrong, but natural conclusion that BBader’s just being his normal obnoxious-jerk self.

P3 – is that a scar on BBader’s face, the tracks of his tears, or just the edge of that “Phantom of the Opera” mask he’s wearing in the men’s room?

With a nod to Gene Wilder the movie playing this week at the Milford Cinema is “STIR CRAZY”.

Day 145: Cracking open a copy of The Shawshank Redemption. It will probably take as long to escape this story arc as it was for Andy to make his escape.

@Bitsy & Ellisburkes: Until someone “accidentally” stepped on his foot at first base the Detroit Tigers rode the bat of Hank “The Hebrew Hammer” Greenberg.

Wait, To Kill a Mockingbird was her favorite book? Since when? Seemed like she hated her nickname (which was not given to her because she allegedly liked the book), which would probably mean she would shun the book, no? And speaking of shunning, don’t you dare shun today’s Mopped Up Thorp.

@Bitsy: (almost a correction) The actual book was “I was Fugitive from a Chain Gang”; Del is still working on PRISONER status. Oh, and Perry Como had “I’m just a Prisoner of Love”. It wasn’t a book but Del could use it for a theme song.

@ Ellisburkes: Ben Franklin invented lending libraries in the Colonies. They never went over because of his motto: “Take a book, leave a twenty.”
