I just cannot relate to this kind of mentality at all. It’s your CHILD. Why would you not want to hear what your CHILD has to say? I just find it impossible to understand this kind of thinking.
You don’t get to complain about this until you’ve had the experience of being a parent; if you still think the child is right at that point, the child gets to complain.

Oh, sweetie, bless your heart. It’s not that way only in Asian culture. My family are all European and we get the same treatment.
It’s a Mom culture and it can be found among ethnicities across the globe.
