That is the problem with ideology, is it not? You have to bend facts to fit your ideas no matter how grotesque that exercise becomes, isn’t that true? We need to become more pragmatic and find workable solutions and lose the ideologies that become like prisons of the mind and spirit.
I am sorta willing to give Rudy a little benefit of the doubt. He gives a lotta speeches and obviously he’s on amphetamines too, so he probably just mispoke.
But if he had just said, I got excited and thought I had said this, instead of that, he would have saved himself some grief.
It really makes you wonder if republicans even know what the truth is these days. You don’t forget something like 911 unless you are to the point where you can’t functions menatlly at all.
I thought we were never going to forget 9/11? I suppose because Obama found bin Laden, we can’t tout that victory. So we’ll have to pretend the whole thing never happened. Unless we can pin it on Clinton… can we pin 9/11 on Hillary yet? Talk about patriotism sheesh.
Giuliani’s actions on behalf of Trump are bad, but Chris Christie’s are much worse. Rudy only shot his mouth off, Christie wrote The Donald’s TAXES off.[]http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/17/us/politics/trump-chris-christie-casinos.html?_r=0[]And before you say it, righties, if Christie didn’t know, as he now claims, then he’s either woefully incompetent, incredibly stupid, or all of the above.
Oddly & sadly when anyone brings up terrorists attacks my first thoughts are the Oklahoma City bombing, Columbine, the unabomber, and the attacks against women’s health care clinics & providers; almost* all of which happened before the 9-11 attack.
I say almost because attacks against health care clinics & providers by theological extremists are still happening.
NeedaChuckleDon’t chuckle; this was actually the US military’s excuse. “It had to be Luftwaffe pilots because Japs don’t have the intelligence to fly an airplane.” So they were rewarded for that idiocy by building them a big five-sided building of their own.
Everybody knows the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on September 7, 1941 or so said George H. W Bush on the campaign trail, you would have thought he would have remembered that date.
I’m less worried about a one-time gaffe than I am about misinformation repeated and redoubled after it’s been shown to be wrong. I regarded Bush I as an incompetent who’d say anything for the cause, but next to the current GOP crop, he’s a face on Mount Rushmore.

I’m really stumped. HOW could he have forgotten? No one else in the U.S.A. can forget!

Rudy and Sarah represent why the Republican party has lost the youth of America.
