Ha, I have known people similar to this…except its more like I’ll keep the protection order in place but I love you and want you with me. So long as you don’t tick me off I won’t call the police on you.
My understanding is that the Violence Against Women Act does not allow a woman to lift a restraining order against a man, once it is placed. Hence, if she forgets she can’t drink while taking her prescription meds and goes bonkers for a night – her husband lives under a bridge for the rest of their marriage.
