    Considering that lava lamps work because of the heat from the incandescent light bulb, I doubt that thing will ever ooze again.

    Says who? I once had a lava lamp, and I watched it ooze dozens of times. I sold it when I moved into a trailer home, posed a fire hazard. Wish I’d stored it, it would have been no problem in the concrete basement where I live now. That place is great in summers, no need for AC even when it’s 100+ outside. If the heater overcomes the tendency to being cool in winter the only drawback will be that the neighbor upstairs smokes.
