73 years ago, I was born with a few birth defects, of which one was only the great toe on my right foot> It was curled backwards and the nail would cut into the top of my foot. The toe was removed when I was 6. The other BDs were on my hands. I have the thumb and little finger on my left hand and all of them on my right , except the three middle fingers are only one joint long. The point being that everyone in my family got so used to me that one year I got thongs for a gift! You should have seen everyone when I tried to wear them! The left one worked fine because all the toes are there BUT I walked right out of the right one!
