My parents’ 175lb Great Dane grabs a large squeaky tennis ball or a large tug rope then comes over to me with it in his mouth looks at me and growls under his breath. That means it is time for me to entertain him for a few minutes as I am his favorite toy. He is very gentle with everyone including me when we play, he just looks and sounds like he is gong to kill me. He doesn’t play with anyone else like this except his former foster mom and sometimes I have to stop so I can stop laughing and he can stop wagging his tail so hard.

Our dog does this with his food dish. Believe me, a Kong is a lot quieter, and Sophie doesn’t weigh 75 pounds.
