It’s a toss-up for me. Window washing may be slightly less odoriferous, but on the other hand, at least the horse stays on the ground! Besides, when you wash windows, you’re dealing with birds and their excrement anyway …

No, definitely window washing is the worst. I wouldn’t want to be on the suspended scaffolding. I prefer working around horses and cleaning up after them is part of the job, so I don’t mind it.

Before the automobile came along, big cities were slowly being buried in horse excrement. It was a serious problem that cars were the cure for. Now, the cars are the problem.
